General Hospital Spoilers: Did Dante Overdo It Going Off on Gio — Again?
General Hospital spoilers report Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampronga) has done it again.
He spouted off at Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) without thinking, and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) got a painful front-row seat to every last bit of it.
Gritting her teeth and empathizing with her son as he took Dante’s harsh words on the chin, Brook Lynn was quick to sit down with Gio afterward and smooth things over — at least on her end of the co-parenting spectrum.
The fans are just as furious with Dante as she is right now, but it remains to be seen how exactly Gio is going to process his father’s cold words moving forward. As far as the fan base goes, they’re split, as usual.
Some think Dante’s Italian heritage gets the best of him sometimes and he speaks before thinking. Others think Gio had it coming, and still some are ticked and hope he makes it right sooner than later.
Dante Dug the Hole Deeper
Dante and Gio already weren’t in a terribly good spot. Just recently, Dante tried to extend an olive branch to Gio, but the young man just wasn’t ready to accept seeing Dante as his father.
Perhaps that’s because he hasn’t exactly tried to be one to him. Don’t get me wrong. Dante apologized for his outburst after Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) drinking incident.
He smoothed that over as best he could, and it seemed like Gio really came to understand where he was coming from. But otherwise, Dante has kept his distance a bit from Gio, more so than Brook Lynn has.
She has taken every opportunity to extend the olive branch, be present, hear her son, and offer him guidance.
It’s not a wonder their relationship is improving while Dante’s relationship with Gio withers on the vine. At least, that’s what some fans are saying.
GH Spoilers Spill Gio Practically Asked For This
In contrast, other fans are feisty and ticked off every bit as much as Dante is. They resonate with his plight as a father to Rocco, wondering how Gio could be so careless a second time around.
Some of them might acknowledge that Gio did the right thing coming clean with Dante about his role in the break-in at Professor Henry ‘Hank’ Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab, but that doesn’t excuse his neglect of his duties as Rocco’s big brother.
At the same time, fans are arguing over whether those duties really exist if Gio never acknowledged them. It’s not as though he has embraced Rocco as his little brother, even if Dante wants to hold him to that standard.
Fix It, ASAP!
Ultimately, some fans see both sides, and everyone on every side seems to be in agreement on one thing: We want this fixed — and fast.
Brook Lynn has more or less patched things up with Gio and he finally sees the spot she was in giving him up as a baby.
It looks like he’s ready to embrace forgiving her, calling her “Mom” and all.
But how long will it be before he’s calling Dante “Dad?” I recommend not holding out hope for that this year. What say you? Sound off in the comments, and stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers right here, every day.

In my opinion Dante has not handled anything regarding the Gio situation rationally. He continues to make thing worse between the two but yet deep down I do feel he wants a father/son relationship with him. Gio seems to be coming around and now is the time for Dante to do the same.
