General Hospital Spoilers: Portia’s Affair Used To Spark a Scandalous Pregnancy Plot line?

General Hospital Spoilers boast Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is in for the ride of her life. Just one year after she married her once part-time lover Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), her vows mean next to nothing.

She and Curtis are headed for divorce as Portia is headed for Labor and Delivery.

Late nights feeding the baby and changing diapers are the furthest thing from her mind right now.

She can’t even conceive of the idea that this moment — two pink lines on a pregnancy test — will eventually bring another Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) into the world, or, a son.

But whose name would he carry on? If all of that is too much for Portia to bear, we can see a world where GH uses this storyline to touch on a very sensitive issue in the media and the nation right now: abortion. Is Portia headed for a truthbomb, or a termination?

And Baby Makes…Two?

Portia is finally okay with not forcing her marriage to Curtis to work. She ended it on her terms, and she seemed to feel pretty good about it.

She even thinks she’s ready for some kind of relationship with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).

Sure, she doesn’t know what that means if no one else can know about it, but look where rolling in the hay has gotten her so far? With a baby on board, Portia is bound to be reeling in the weeks ahead as she searches for the escape hatch to get out of this bad dream. Will she end up embracing this child as a parting gift from Curtis, or a party favor from her one-night stand with Isaiah?

GH Spoilers Report It Might Not Be A Happy Ending

Portia’s lie has been chaos pretty much from the moment we were first introduced to her. She came to Port Charles with a daughter whose entire life was a bit of a lie.

Hiding the truth about her paternity from Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) and Curtis laid the foundation for Portia to be a liar.

Since then, she has manipulated and lied to her daughter, ruined her wedding day with Curtis, defamed and retaliated against Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), stepped into a blackmail scheme with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and lied over and over again about all of it.

It’s safe to say accountability is not Portia’s thing. So, might she be more interested in choosing not to have a baby than having to deal with the reality of coming clean about her torrid affair?

This Wouldn’t Be the First Time

GH is known for tackling very controversial topics and presenting them in a way that keeps fans glued to the edges of their seats hoping for more.

But we’ve seen the sudser step away from controversial topics related to current events — especially politics — a bit more in recent years.

Many fans noticed the soap mentioned Covid-19 once or twice and more or less left it to the media to drive Americans crazy with politics and science.

But perhaps now that the dust has settled on all things pandemics, GH writers are ready to reintroduce a juicy plotline that will have people talking about whether Portia was right or wrong — or somewhere in between.

Viewers haven’t seen GH jump on an abortion storyline since Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) saga with Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins). Is it time for a reprisal? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.

Definitely Portia will lie if the test proves Isiah is the baby’s father. What I am hoping for is that the child is Isiah’s and that he will demand DNA test which is done far, far away from PC. I also feel Portia altered Trina’s DNA test to allow for her lingering feelings for Curtis. Portia is a big mess and needs to get her life in order and stop being so insecure. If Curtis has any romantic feelings left for Portia she will drive him away with her insecurities. Surely writers won’t continue this pregnancy path with Portia in order for her to keep Curtis in her orbit one way or another.
