General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) got a bone to pick with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Carly was a little worried that Elizabeth would report witnessing her threaten to kill Drew Cain, (Cameron Mathison) and now it looks like she has!
Carly And Elizabeth Have Been Rivals For Years
Longtime viewers will remember that Carly and Elizabeth have been rivals for years, but then, Carly is a rival of anyone trying to sink her claws into Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)!
She even fought with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) while she had been married to Jason, over his having dangerous surgery to remove a brain tumor-naturally, it wasn’t Carly’s call to make.
But since when did something not being Carly’s business keep her from interfering when it comes to her longtime best friend and almost husband a couple of times?
Elizabeth was pining after Jason a couple of times in the past twenty years, once when Jake Webber (Hudson West) was conceived and then Drew first appeared as Jake Doe.
Everyone thought he was Jason, even Drew for a while, and Carly wasn’t about to let Elizabeth keep him-of course, that was before the real Jason returned and the backstory was revealed.
This Longtime Rivalry Is What Made Carly Fear Elizabeth Would Turn Her In
This long-time rivalry, even though Jason has nothing to do with this situation, is what made Carly fear that Elizabeth would turn her in for her death threat to Drew. Even though Elizabeth and Drew were once close, because of his growing up in a foster care situation with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), even she can tell he’s changed.
So, when Carly is interrogated in Drew’s shooting in Tuesday, September 30th’s episode, even though she’s not told Elizabeth is behind it, she automatically suspects her! Carly won’t be arrested, Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) has already told her he’ll be her alibi-and at the time, Elizabeth is busy confronting Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
So Carly’s confrontation of Elizabeth will have to wait until she can get her to herself-in spite of her brother Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) being Elizabeth’s friend.
Carly Confronts Elizabeth At Work, With Lucas Not There
Carly picks a time that Lucas isn’t at work to confront Elizabeth, because she knows he’ll come to her rescue and she doesn’t want him to interfere in her confrontation!
Carly just KNOWS that Elizabeth had to have reported her to the PCPD about her overheard confrontation with Drew, because she was standing right there in the doorway. And Carly is furious about it, not that she wouldn’t have been happy had Drew died-like ninety-nine percent of Port Charles!
But when Carly starts tearing into Elizabeth at the nurses’ station for turning her into the PCPD over what she overheard, she’s shocked at who comes running to stop her.
Elizabeth isn’t shocked, however, Co-Chief of Staff Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) has been her friend since childhood-Terry threatens to call security on Carly!

It is time all of the foolishness regarding Drew’s shooting is resolved instead of adding more confrontations between characters regarding the matter. Drew was shot twice, woke up, and also somehow, someway was able to wheel himself into Monica’s memorial service to cause more confusion. But due to Tracy being Tracy his efforts were uprooted before they even began. Drew has ruled the GH canvas for a year plus, it is now time to put this story line on the back burner or completed forever and move on.
I don’t care what Carly does she’s still one of my favorites, even when I don’t always agree with or like what she does! With that said who cares if Elizabeth ratted you out Carly? You already sent to Anna and told her what you did but St Elizabeth always wants to be a goody two shoes when she’s not been perfect!
Now I do have to say I was cheering Tracy when she rolled rolled Drew out that door especially the look on his face! Whoo Hoo Tracy!
[…] Drew blames Michael for taking Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), ignoring her role under his influence, and accuses Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of turning the family — including Monica — against him. With Marty aware of Ronnie (Erika Slezak), Monica’s mystery sister, potentially contesting the estate, is Drew’s rage setting the stage for a Quartermaine meltdown? […]
