General Hospital spoilers say that fans are offended by the Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) storyline, but not for the reasons that you may be thinking.
General Hospital Fans Are Offended By The Rocco Storyline
Apparently, some viewers of the show think it’s offensive that some characters are being redeemed after doing some of the most horrific things.
For example, Britt is back but not everyone is happy about it. Rocco is even now calling Britt his second mother because she committed a crime and stole him/
Clearly, Rocco having some curiosity about the people who made him exist even as unethical and twisted as it was and not being biologically related.
Of course, General Hospital fans on the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some even commented with, “As someone recently pointed out on X, is Rocco gonna suddenly think of Nikolas as a second father because he was gonna raise ‘Ben’ with Britt? Or is this limited to just not thinking Lulu is enough because she didn’t carry him?”
“Rocco is a teen and confused, I get that. But the narrative is presenting something offensive as a truth to its audience.”
What’s Next For Rocco?
Another critic wrote, “Rocco having some curiosity about the people who made him exist… even as unethical and twisted as it was and not being biologically related… I don’t have a beef with this.
He’s not looking to replace his parents or grandparents, just add to his overall origin and accept that for better or worse, this is part of his story.”
And then there was this comment as well: “This is exactly how I would expect a typical teen to react to this situation- with a thoughtless, selfish curiosity and black-and-white thinking; this is not the age for nuanced thinking.
When your body is growing fast and the hormones are coursing through you but your brain has yet to catch up.”
Now, whether or not any of this will change remains to be seen. Needless to say, General Hospital fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
