Actor Matthew Atkinson, who last played Thomas Forrester on the canvas, hasn’t been around for several long months, prompting fans to wonder if he’s quitting the show.
A lot of fans can’t help but wonder if actor Matthew Atkinson will be returning anytime soon to reprise his role as Thomas Forrester. Because if not, there’s a very good chance that the producers will go ahead and recast the role. And if they do, there’s no doubt that fans will be up in arms over the decision.
As many B&B fans are aware of, Matthew is currently on paternity leave. That’s because he and his wife Brytnee welcomed their first child.
That’s why there’s now speculation suggesting that Thomas might come back, but with a new actor in the role. And seeing how Brandon Barash is available, he would be perfect to play the biggest bad boy that this fictional town of Los Angeles has ever seen.

The actor was left quite disappointed when he found out that his contract was not being renewed at Days of Our Lives. He first landed the role of Stefan DiMera several years ago when he had to step in for actor Tyler Christopher at the time.
What was supposed to be a short stint ended up being a long one for Brandon as Salem soon became his new home away from home. However, something must have happened behind closed doors because both the actor and his DOOL fans were shocked to find out that he has been given the pink slip.
