Jon Lindstrom Has Made His Choice With Beyond The Gates
It looks like he’s made a choice. Jon Lindstrom is making it pretty clear that he’s going all in with his new soap, Beyond The Gates. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Jon Lindstrom Has Made His Choice With Beyond The Gates
The actor, who is best known for his role as Kevin Collins on General Hospital, is apparently choosing to focus on the work that he is doing in Atlanta for Beyond The Gates rather than in the fictional town of Port Charles that fans have been used to seeing him in.
On Monday, Jon shared a short video of himself on his X (formerly Twitter) account and wrote: “Today BEYOND THE GATES makes TV history. I am SO proud and humbled to be a part of this extraordinary event and to be included as a cast member of this wonderful new show.”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for his fans and his followers to comment on the matter.

I’ve been watching you for since the 90s on general hospital and I hate to see you go from one character to another I love your character Kevin Collins. You have grown on general hospital. I won’t be watching beyond the gates because I am loyal to general hospital
I agree with Elizabeth. I’ve been watching GH since I was in grammar school. I’ve enjoyed every character on General Hospital. I believe Jon can do both soaps. I mean, Wally Kurth is on Days and GH simultaneously, so, why not Jon? Honestly, I know that I have ZERO plans to EVER watch BTG anyway. Well, hopefully Jon comes back as Kevin soon, because, lately they’ve been showing Genie Francis, but, Kevin’s name hasn’t even been mentioned.
He will be hard pressed to do both because it because BTG is filled in Atlanta. Wally Kurth’s shows are both filmed in LA, so it’s easy to do both. Besides why can’t you watch both shows? For me they don’t come on at the same time in my area. BTG is on at 2pm and GH at 3pm. But otherwise just DVR one of them or stream it on demand.
I began watching Beyond The Gates on day 1. It just didn’t keep my attention. Would I stop watching GH after first seeing it when I was young? Not a chance.
I watched BTG for 20 minutes. Lost interest. Bad acting and nothing but women trying to look glamorous. Nothing real about it.
I too am a loyal GH fan, have been since late 1963 no matter what the story line is. With that said I did DVR the BTG each day its been on and just watched them all. NOPE!!! Not my cup of tea, nothing about it kept my interest, I actually found it boring so I won’t be wasting my DVR time on it! I don’t see it “pushing” GH out either!, there are too many loyal’s like me no matter what! Yes a few may jump ship but I honestly don’t think as many as you want everyone to think!
