But at the same time, there’s not enough room for three soaps on one network. While The Bold and the Beautiful has been doing steadily in the ratings, The Young and the Restless has been falling behind.
It seems like a lot of Y&R fans are tuning out rather than in just because they are having a hard time connecting with all of the latest storylines so much so that some people are calling it a snoozefest.

I thought that “The Young and the Restless” had just been renewed for three more years? And that “B&B” had gotten just a one year renewal? So what gives?
If the ratings for Y&R have droipped it’s due to the poor writing of the writers. We voiced our opinions about that many times, but the poor writing continued. If it’s canceled I will not watch the new soap, I’m not interested in getting wrapped up in another poorly written soap.
