According to the latest reports, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is considering resigning. Sources have reportedly told the outlet that Trudeau is “considering prorogation or resignation” and may address Parliament today.
“Sources tell CTV News that the prime minister has conveyed to cabinet that he is considering prorogation or resignation, and he’s potentially planning to address Parliament this afternoon,” reports CTV news.
The report comes after Canada’s finance minister Chrystia Freeland suddenly announced that she was quitting.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is also calling out Trudeau, saying Canada has “gotten out of control” under his leadership.
If that weren’t enough, the leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party Jagmeet Singh calls on Justin Trudeau to resign, cites Trump’s tariff threats. Singh was seen as one of the last major “holdouts” to support Trudeau.

He said, “People are having a very hard time paying for groceries. Young people can’t find affordable housing. And beyond that, we have the threat of Trump’s tariffs, and that’s putting hundreds of thousands of jobs in Canada in danger.”
“And instead of dealing with issues that are important for Canadians, the Prime Minister is dealing with fighting in his own party. It’s clear that the Prime Minister cannot continue.”
The internet certainly has had a lot to say about the matter. Some have even commented with, “We dont want him to resign. We want an election and as minority support Singh holds that card. If he resigns, it opens the way for Mark Carney. These two parties are Uniparty Globalists. Both are just as bad!”
