General Hospital Spoilers: Blameshifting, Making A Case, Explaining Actions
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, October 23 tease blameshifting, making a case, and explaining actions. An angry Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) blameshifts, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) makes a case, and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) explains his actions.
General Hospital Spoilers: Blameshifting
At the Savoy, Ric has just exited after revealing that the judge overseeing Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) case has vacated it, effectively dropping all charges and granting Heather her freedom.
This news doesn’t sit well with Curtis, and it’s even more troubling for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who risked her job by tampering with Heather’s post-surgical blood test results.
Curtis is furious and holds Ric responsible for the situation, particularly since it was his decision to have Heather’s blood retested at a different lab.
Ric is taken aback by the judge’s decision, as he had only intended to secure Heather a place in minimum security. However, Curtis suggests that if Ric isn’t accountable for Heather’s release, then who truly is?
GH Spoilers: Making A Case
At the hospital, Isaiah is stepping up to ensure Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) survival, expressing to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) his desire to perform her surgery.
Meanwhile, Lucas is reluctantly going ahead with Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) operation, despite knowing better. Isaiah firmly believes that if Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) sister has any chance of pulling through, she will need his expertise.
However, for Isaiah to take the lead in Lulu’s surgery, some logistical hurdles must be overcome since he isn’t officially part of the GH staff. He will join the transplant team alongside Lucas, but it will require some creative maneuvering with human resources to make it happen!
General Hospital Spoilers: Unexpected News
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is feeling quite distressed about the recent announcement, confiding in Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) that this news caught her completely off guard.
Having had a terrifying encounter with Heather, Josslyn knows how close she came to losing her life—if not for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), she might not be here at all.
The situation is even more tragic considering Britt suffered from snake venom after using her briefcase as a shield, ultimately dying in her mother Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) arms.
Josslyn shares the same perspective as Portia and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), firmly believing that Heather’s violent actions cannot be excused by cobalt metallosis. In their eyes, Heather is just as much a psychopathic murderer as her deranged ex, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), ever was!
GH Spoilers: Explaining Actions
Elsewhere, Ric is trying to clarify things for his daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), regarding Heather’s unexpected release, admitting he was caught off guard by the judge’s dismissing the charges entirely.
However, he’s also juggling another important matter: Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) custody battle; Molly may question why.
It seems Molly is urging him to abandon one of his cases, and since Heather’s situation is already settled, it’s likely that Ava’s case is the one she’s referring to. Ric takes the time to explain why he simply can’t let that case go!
General Hospital Spoilers: Holly Asks For Help
Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had already clashed over Holly’s claim that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is the father of Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
Shortly after Holly departed her office to meet Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and sell her diamonds, Anna received an alert from Interpol. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) had been spotted on surveillance footage at an airport in Miami, and Anna realized he was on the hunt for Holly.
Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) had previously asked Anna and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) if they had brought back any “souvenirs” from Africa and warned them about Sidwell’s tenacity.
Now, Anna has tracked Holly to Sonny’s likely location at Pozzulo’s and confronts her, urging her to finally stop the deception, after Holly asks for help!
GH Spoilers: Sonny’s Being Cautious
Sonny feels a sense of unease, particularly when Anna arrives asking about Holly, and Sonny tells Holly she must be in trouble!
The last time Holly was in town, Sonny concealed her in one of his safe houses until they could get her out of the country, a complicated scheme Robert assisted with.
Back then, she pretended to be engulfed in flames and managed to escape while faking her own death. Although the Ice Princess necklace she attempted to steal then might no longer exist in its original state, diamonds are eternal! And Sidwell is on the hunt for his, as well as for her!
