By now, everyone knows that you can’t read or hear about General Hospital star Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) without some sort of controversy surrounding her. Well, there seems to be a good reason behind it, too. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
General Hospital News: Why Is Laura Wright So Controversial?
For anyone who has been paying attention to the storylines on General Hospital, they will know that Carly Corinthos is often front and center.
A day doesn’t go by that she’s not in one of the episodes. So, with that said, it’s safe to also say that actress Laura Wright is one of and if not the biggest star on the show.
General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder how Laura Wright feels about all of the major changes that are going on at the hit ABC soap and whether or not she’s worried about job security, too.
For Laura Wright, there’s no doubt that all of this has to feel very troubling. Because if a character like Sam McCall can be axed off, then there’s no doubt that the same can be said about Carly Corinthos or even her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos.
With the writers of General Hospital acting so unpredictable, you just never know what is going to happen next in this fictional town of Port Charles.
General Hospital News: What’s Next For Laura Wright?
Meanwhile, is Laura Wright doing too many interviews? That’s what some critics can’t help but wonder. In a rather bizarre move, one fan wrote on X, “Who is she controlling or how? This is so sickening with LW all the time! Give us a break!”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for Laura to explain why she had done the interviews that she did.
She responded with, “Let me explain this to you- and anyone else who seems to have issues – I did one interview and they asked me multiple questions and then they broke it up into different interviews. I’m am truly sorry that it seems to upset you so much.”
So far Laura herself has not made any comments about the matter but we will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in. Watch this space.
In the meantime, come back right here for all the latest updates and spoilers on your favorite daytime television shows including The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital and Days of Our Lives.
I personally love Laura Wright and her character Carly. People need to get over it. If you don’t like her then fast forward through her scenes. I after all fast forward through a lot of other after and actress scene who I don’t personally like.
Laura Wright, controversial?? Do you know what controversial means? It means “giving rise or likely to give rise to public disagreement.” How is she causing controversy/public disagreement? Has she said something that’s dividing her fans? Or is she “controversial” because she gives an interview that’s busted up into numerous parts and shown at different times? She’s doing publicity – it’s what celebrities do. If she wasn’t, people would start complaining that she is closed off to her fans! But to say she’s controversial? No. To say this article’s writer is not paying attention to details? Yes. It seems the writers on this site are about as talented as the GH writers – Andrew is just as lost, too.
[…] When she gets too close for comfort, Sonny may have to resort to desperate measures to silence her. But can he really get away with killing Sam while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is lurking around every corner? […]
[…] Now that Portia has apparently taken matters into her own hands, will she be able to backpedal out of this mess before it catches up with her? […]
People give it a break. On any soap or any show for that matter there is always main characters that get more screen time. Do you have a remote? Do you know what FF is? There are many characters even on GH that I can’t stand or am annoyed by. I just don’t watch their scenes if long and drawn out. I am a Laura Wright/Carly fan. And, yes even
she has annoyed me in the past, but I don’t feel the need to get on the computer and complain about it. Just part of the show. Just enjoy. If you don’t then don’t watch.
