The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) has had enough of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is exploiting his betrayal of her trust, which spells doom for Billy-boy.
The wide-ranging plan Victor is exacting is coming together sooner than he anticipated. Billy’s predicted screw-up happened quickly, with his firing of Lily turning her against him.
Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) inroads with Lily and their rapport smoothed the runway to a meeting with Victor. Billy’s just-terminated co-head of Abbott Chancellor is ready to bring him down.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lily Winters Took A Flier
Lily was going to trick Billy, as the viewers know. But turmoil inside what is now Winters caused her to reconsider.
Billy’s offer to co-head Abbott Chancellor proved enticing because of Lily’s work to build the Chancellor half of Chancellor Winters. However, her trepidation persists because she knows Billy’s quixotic personality.
Lily did not take long to realize that Billy appears incapable of working together. He battled Devon Winters (Bryton James) and, with that factor non-existent, targeted Lily. Opting to pay out her contract so he can solely run the show affirms her initial skepticism.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Wants Abbott Chancellor
Victor’s plans involve multiple companies. He intends to use Glissade to attack Jabot while descending to snatch Abbott Chancellor.
Billy is rightly seen as having an empty business mind. He is the proverbial empty suit. Victor knows that brashness, with a wink to Newman Enterprises’ Brash and Sassy, is a useful weakness.
But Glissade and Abbott Chancellor are steps to the main prize, Jabot. Victor does not need to rival Jabot with what will become pieces of his company. But he’s thirsty for revenge, holding Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) accountable for Nikki’s bumpy recovery earlier this year.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Is Counted Out?
Some daytime characters are who they always are. So, it would be easy to project Billy being defeated shortly and humiliatingly.
Thompson’s character could easily go over the edge because of Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) concurrent personal betrayal. She might need to check the ledge of various buildings in downtown Genoa City, Wisconsin. And mentioning that serious topic is not trite because Billy is on shakier ground than he imagines.
It would be better soap if there is a twist and the outcome does not predictably play out. So maybe Billy does not lose Abbott Chancellor, or Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) returns and preserves what is her legacy?
Billy needs to have a win, or else this storyline might fail to conclude satisfyingly. Here’s hoping for a halted climax and a fresh plot path forward.
