General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, May 16 tease scary situations, sales pitches and brother-to-brother confrontations.
Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is in a scary situation, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) has a sales pitch of sorts, and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) confronts Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
General Hospital Spoilers: Gregory’s Scary Situation
All attention is focused on Gregory as he grapples to officiate the wedding between Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
It is evident that he is facing significant difficulties as he stutters, fear fills his eyes, and he struggles to maintain his position at the altar.
The symptoms of his ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, have been rapidly worsening, and he is aware that his time is short, although he keeps the severity a secret.
His ultimate desire is to persevere through the wedding vows, to successfully declare Harrison Chase and Brook Lynn as husband and wife.
Perhaps he requires some oxygen, just like in the past; thankfully, there are two doctors and two nurses present, seeing all that’s going on from the audience.
GH Spoilers: Hamilton Finn’s Alarm
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) eyes betray their fear as they notice Gregory’s trembling hands and his struggle to speak, prompting Finn to ask if he’s alright.
Despite Gregory’s attempts to hold onto the altar, something is clearly amiss. Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), who exhibited bravery by saving Grandpa earlier by bringing his oxygen, is now feeling frightened by what she sees.
It’s obvious that Gregory has been trying to pretend that everything is fine when it’s far from the truth. Finn looks like the doctor in him is ready to spring into action, Chase and Brook Lynn also afraid for Gregory.
General Hospital Spoilers: Tracy Quartermaine’s Promise
Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) eyes are also filled with worry as she approaches Gregory, determined to fulfill her promise and finish the ceremony.
They had previously discussed the possibility of her stepping in as a backup in case something went wrong, and it seemed like that time had come.
As he arrived at the church with his sons, Violet, and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), Gregory was feeling weak, wanting to go in right away.
Brook Lynn and Chase might object to continuing with the ceremony instead of seeking immediate medical help for Gregory. However, he was determined to keep the show going and ensure that his youngest son and his fiancée were properly married, whether he performed the ceremony himself or Tracy took over.
GH Spoilers: Kristina’s Sales Pitch
It seems that Brook Lynn and Chase successfully tie the knot, as their loved ones gather at the Metro Court for the reception. Among the attendees are Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and Kristina, who engage in a conversation.
Kristina insists that it is her responsibility to convince Kristina’s mother that what is best for Blaze is to be with Kristina, and she’ll make the “sales pitch”.
Both Kristina and Blaze are taken aback when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Kristina’s father, arrived at the wedding accompanied by Blaze’s mother, Natalia Rogers-Ramirez (Eva La Rue). They would have preferred Natalia not to show up, as they anticipated her interference.
General Hospital Spoilers: Leaving So Soon?
Sonny and Natalia are engaged in a conversation at the reception when Sonny questions, “You’re not leaving already, are you?”
Sonny ponders why Natalia would want to exit so swiftly, especially without intervening in Kristina and Blaze’s situation – or has she already done so? Sonny has been attempting to assist Natalia in accepting the fact that Blaze may not marry a man of her choice.
It’s possible that the wedding has become too overwhelming for Natalia, leading her to leave early. However, if she departs, Sonny might have to do the same, and that’s something he’d prefer to avoid!
GH Spoilers: Drew’s Brother-To-Brother Confrontation
In a not-so-friendly encounter, Drew confronts Jason. It appears that Jason is curious about what has transpired with Drew since the tunnel collapsed beneath Cassadine Island, or perhaps something concerning Drew’s well-being.
Drew’s response is filled with frustration and resentment as he tells Jason, “The fact that you’re asking that question pretty much answers itself!”
It’s clear that Drew is upset that Jason didn’t reach out to him, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), or anyone to tell them he survived. Drew’s demeanor suggests that he’s about to sarcastically offer Jason a quarter to call someone who actually cares!
