The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the CBS drama is the number one rated soap in all the land and one of the most watched shows in television history.
After a half century on the air, part of the reason the show remains fresh is the exciting casting changes made on a regular basis. While some favorites remain, others come and go, and newbies arrive like clockwork.
Y&R has won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series 11 times. Here’s what to know about casting changes thus far in 2024.
The Young and the Restless spoilers: Soap Veterans Thrilled
Fans were delighted to see Michael Damian back as rock deity Danny Romalotti. Sadly he departed GC to go on tour on March 12. Damian tweeted that he will be back!
Soap vet Brian Gaskill was last seen as Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) AA Sponsor Seth on March 5. He was a sight for sore daytime eyes who became accustomed to seeing him on soaps through the years.
Seth was pushed into traffic by deranged Jordan who is portrayed by As the World Turns legend Colleen Zenk. Zenk has fans in the palm of her hand as she plays the bitter, twisted villain intent on destroying the Newman family.
Y&R spoilers: Exits Stage Left
Kellen Enriquez debuted as Harrison Locke-Abbott in 2021. Earlier this year he left the show and Redding Munsell replaced him as the littlest Abbott.
Redding Munsell debuted on April 12 and hit the ground running. Before he could catch his breath, Harrison was kidnapped by evil Jordan and subjected to eating handmade sandwiches in a dingy hotel room.
Also appearing was Carrie Malabre as Mariah Copeland and her late twin sister Cassie Newman. In March the actress appeared as Cassie in Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) dream.
The Young and the Restless spoilers: Returning Diva
On March 13 Christel Khalil returned as Lily Winters. Winters had been on maternity leave since December. Lily was offscreen tending to the needs of her co-ed daughter Mattie after a fire broke out at her school.

Should be about helping Conner not 2 people fighting over Chelsa. That is what happens to all the kids, they are sent off to boarding school, for love for different partner”s. Is Michael and Lauren the only couple? Would say this about Victor and Nikki but things have changed. Put her in rehab so she can get back to the Nikki we love. This is not her.
