Young and the Restless Spoilers: Why Does The Newman Family Hate Adam So Much? Will He Ever Be Redeemed?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that despite his efforts, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) continues to be the black sheep of the family. No one is perfect, and while Adam has done his fair share of dastardly things in the past, the rest of the family really has no room to judge.

Will the family ever consider him as one of their own? What exactly does Adam have to do at this point to “win” everyone’s love?

Y&R Spoilers: Claire Grace’s Dream

Y&R spoilers note that Newman newcomer, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) was recently given a stand-alone episode, where she had a dream that she was never stolen by her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk).

As with most of these character-centric shows, the epi not only provided insight into what the future could hold for Claire, but it was also highly entertaining.

From her bond with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) to Shick never splitting up, and Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) still being alive (anyone else shed a tear or two …) the dream shed a spotlight on how Claire views the family.

Still, one interesting note was that the Newmans gathered to celebrate Eve/Claire’s birthday, only for Adam to be their server at GCAC.

Of course, the black sheep of the family, who also happens to have an open rivalry with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) did have a confrontation with Claire during her dream, where she was able to shoot him down. Still, why does everyone view Adam as the enemy?

Y&R Spoilers: Is Adam Newman That Bad?

He’s been very open about being skeptical when it comes to Claire; however, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) recently revealed he was too, during the Tuesday, March 19 show.

While Nick is choosing to be civil and kind to Claire, for Victoria’s sake, Adam is not.

Still, is Adam’s wariness about Claire enough cause to treat him like a villain? During Claire’s dream, it seemed as if Adam was ousted entirely from the family.

A lot of this could be Claire’s perception of Adam, based on the known negative history between him and her mom, not to mention the fact that he has spoken up against her, with her in the room; however, why hasn’t anyone informed her of some of the good things Adam has done?

Like saving Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster), how he chose Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) life over his own child, and how he once supported Vicky when she initially married Ashland Locke (Robert Newman/Richard Burgi).
