Apparently, someone had suggested on social media that the actor, who was best known for his role as Paul Williams on the hit show, was let go because he wasn’t vaccinated. Doug Davidson did not get fired from The Young and the Restless. Instead, he suggested in an interview last year that he had walked away from the show when contract negotiations didn’t go his way. But when one Twitter user suggested that Doug might have gotten fired from The Young and the Restless because he didn’t want to take the COVID-19 vaccine at the time, the actor fired back with, “I’m sorry?? I took the vaccine. Where are you getting your disinformation?”

Of course, many of Doug’s followers and fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter especially after another Twitter user said, “U took a civid vaccine and still got let go? Wow tough luck bud.” That’s when other fans defended Doug by replying with, “There’s so much nonsense on social media these days it crazy! So many posts based on incorrect info. People believe everything they read, doesn’t matter who posted it. People need to stop acting like this immediately.”

Another fan wrote, “Lots of disinformation, Doug. I swear people do not think before they type or engage their mouths before their brains. You be you. Your fans love you just the way you are!” and “Maybe someone got you mixed up with Steve Burton. Please don’t give these idiot horrible people any mind, you and God know the truth as do your many fans.”
