Days of Our Lives Boring Couples: Stephanie And Anybody

It seems odd that Days of Our Lives produced a supercouple like Steve and Kayla but they couldn’t produce a daughter who has any supercouple potential with anyone.

Days of Our Lives Stephanie Is A Romance Fail

When Days of Our Lives first brought Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) back to the Salem scene, we had hopes that she would be a young millennial character who could spice things up, but immediately there were problems.

She was apparently meant to be paired with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) but that pairing immediately felt forced — especially with how they met. Alex was immediately smitten while Stephanie immediately felt inexplicable disdain.

After her brief romance with Alex ended, Stephanie ended up with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and even moved in with the widower and his two young kids, Thomas and Charlotte, but she was pushy, wanted marriage, and couldn’t accept that Chad wasn’t ready after losing his wife Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) a year prior.

Considering that Abby was Stephanie’s cousin, one thought she could have been understanding. Chad was certainly taken aback by her anxiousness for him to put a ring on it.

Stephanie Bores Us Again

Now, Stephanie’s ex Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) is in Salem and she’s moved on from Chad in the blink of an eye. Stephanie is with Everett now and all we can think is ho-hum.

There is nothing interesting about them, even with the specter of Everett’s mysterious past with Jada Hunter out there ready to tear them apart.

Stephanie doesn’t even seem to like Everett and they have zero chemistry. Their love scenes lack passion and their conversations are enough to put us to sleep.

There is just nothing interesting about them and nothing interesting about Stephanie. She is way too whiney and angry a character to even be likable.

That may be a reason that none of her pairings have worked out and she’s had three in under two years. Maybe there is something wrong with Stephanie and it’s not a love interest problem at all. It seems likely that Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) daughter is not as fascinating and fun as her parents.
