General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, January 26 tease following leads, teaching opportunities, and qualified candidates.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has a lead to follow, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) a teaching opportunity and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) talks to a qualified candidate.
General Hospital Spoilers: Pre-Court Jitters
At the Port Charles courthouse, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) deals with pre-court jitters as Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has questions.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has arrived, apparently doing some investigation on the case. Elizabeth wants to know if Sam found anything that could affect the case.
Previously, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) was trying to find the oncologist that the doctor who saw Dennis Muldoon (uncast) in Beecher’s Corners was supposed to follow up with. He could have hired Sam, or both he and Sam are looking.
GH Spoilers: Following Leads
Meanwhile, Chase is following leads in the Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) case and tells Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) what he knows. He and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) pulled Esme’s credit card and saw she bought a bus ticket to Toronto.
They also found a letter from her old nanny Maggie Fitzgerald (Heather Olt) that said Maggie took a new job in Toronto and wanted Esme to visit her. He says to Jordan if Esme’s hiding, we have the address where to find her.
General Hospital Spoilers: Teaching Opportunity
Now that Spencer and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) have arrived in Paris, he has a teaching opportunity which he tells her. Trina says “You’re going to teach me, huh?” That could be anything from teaching her French, which she doesn’t know a whole lot of, to let’s say, more personal arts.
Spencer doesn’t seem bothered or upset and neither does Trina, they’re happy. So it’s doubtful Spencer has checked his phone and gotten his grandmother’s urgent message about Esme.
GH Spoilers: Qualified Candidates
At the hospital, Laura has contacted Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) who has also come to the hospital. They stand at the nurses’ station close to Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) hospital room as Laura tells Anna she’s the next most qualified candidate.
But what could Laura think Anna is a candidate for-taking her place for a short time so she can go on a leave of absence, or maybe a temporary Police Commissioner?
Anna has been a commissioner before, during the time that Jordan, who’s busy being Deputy Mayor first came to Port Charles. Laura will express her regrets about something, but it may be a different situation.
General Hospital Spoilers: Brick Catches Up With Sonny Corinthos
Elsewhere, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) catches up with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as he asks him if he needs to get added to that list. Brick may be talking about the “small circle of trust” Jordan referred to when she asked him to help her with an investigation.
Jordan wouldn’t tell him what it’s about but it’s concerning finding the Metro Court sniper and identifying who it was.
Sonny certainly should be included in that list as should Anna, as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) isn’t the only one who was shot at. Curtis was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was thought to be hit by a bouncing bullet.
GH Spoilers: Valentin Cassadine’s Proposition
Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) are at Charlie’s Pub. Valentin will have a business proposition, but right now he wants to know what’s her plan for getting back what’s hers?
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) fired Nina from Crimson and put Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in her place simply to add insult to injury! Nina had said if Carly and Drew want a war, then a war they will get-and Valentin will be more than happy to help her with battle plans!
