It seems like a day doesn’t go by that there isn’t a new song that is being played on General Hospital. And for fans, they absolutely want it to stop. In fact, critics of the show have made it pretty clear that they don’t want to see the hit ABC daytime television turn into a soap opera. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital Critics Want The ‘Bad’ Music To Stop
After the official General Hospital Twitter account shared a post that said, “Fun fact: the song Josslyn and Trina caught Adam tinkering with is actually a @JoshuaBenard18 original titled ‘Barely Alive.’ Raise your hand if you want to hear more!” many fans sure did have a lot to say about it. Clearly, they think that the writers of the show are giving too much attention to all of the songs and not enough to the actual storylines. After all, this is General Hospital and not a show like Glee, right?
Some commented with, “I just want you to limit the singing on the show to the Nurses Ball. Between Blaze, Chase, Eddie Maine, Violet, and now this guy; the show has become a bad musical with very little drama and romance. I want Love in the Afternoon, not a musical.”
Other critics added, “No no no!! No more music, I can’t take Violet singing & now he’s singing. Get back to the good storylines,” along with, “I want the singing to stop everybody stop it’s enough now. GH, you are not a musical! Please stop with the singing! It’s getting ridiculous.”
And there you have it, folks. The critics have spoken and it’s pretty clear as day that viewers of the show just want to see the drama and not all of the singing and songwriting.
