Don’t discount her just yet. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that even though there was some speculation suggesting Claire Grace would only be a temporary character, it looks like she has a future on the show after all. In fact, The Young and the Restless Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith recently previewed what’s next for the character, who is played by actress Hayley Erin. Here’s what you need to know.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Claire Grace Is Going To Be Even More Cold And Calculating

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, it looks like Claire Grace will be sticking around in this fictional town of Genoa City for quite some time. Griffith says that fans are going to learn more about Claire’s history, the shocking twist of her birth as Baby Eve, and what she’s been doing all of these years before she made her way back to the Newman family’s world.

Griffith put it this way, “I’m always diving into the history to find something that’ll spark a story for now because I always think that’s much more satisfying for the audience, especially our long-term audience if there’s something that we can just hook to the past so that they go, ‘Oh wow. I remember that and I thought that was over and done with,’ as opposed to always bringing in something new.”

The head scribe also said that we are going to see more of Claire’s inner ‘psychopath’ come out. In fact, she’s going to be more cold and calculating than ever before. Griffith says that so far actress Hayley Erin has been doing a phenomenal job with the role, which is something many Y&R fans can agree with.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s In Store For Claire Grace?

He said, “I thought the other crucial moment that Hayley did so brilliantly was the moment where Claire realized that her aunt had lied to her and then you saw all the hurt and you saw 26 years of betrayal. When I saw that, I said, ‘Okay, she is absolutely redeemable.’”

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.
