General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek Update, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is frustrated. He vents to Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) closing his deal behind his back!
General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Quartermaine Was Eddie Maine For Several Months
Ned was Eddie Maine for several months after his trip into the Metro Court Pool, suffering a traumatic brain injury; during that time, he wasn’t able to run ELQ. His co-CEO, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) wasn’t available either.
He was in Europe hunting for Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) with Laura and Kevin Collins (Genie Francis, Jon Lindstrom). Although his mother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was there all summer and threatened to take over the company, she was too busy trying to take over Deception Cosmetics.
Michael was the only person with enough knowledge of ELQ to run it, even though he is with Aurora Media-he’s run ELQ in the past and someone had to do it! But now that Ned is Ned again, he’s mad at Michael for helping out and closing a deal he’d started.
GH Spoilers: Fussing And Fuming
Ned sits at his laptop fussing and fuming, and Lois sits by his side on the couch-laptop on the coffee table. He complains he knew it would be a long shot that he’d find some discrepancies in the numbers, and throws a crumpled paper ball on the floor.
He complains some more and says he guesses he’ll have to find some other way to blow up this deal-Lois asks why would he want to do that?
Ned explains he was right in the middle of negotiations with RCD when he took that damn fall at the Metro Court Pool; Lois reminds him he woke up Eddie Maine. She continues, saying Eddie was a dedicated musician whose only interest was in performing, and didn’t want to have anything to do with ELQ.
General Hospital Spoilers: No Right To Do That
Ned nods, says um-hum, and then says that gave Michael the exact opening to swoop in and renegotiate the deal for completely different terms than he had been working on.
And to top it all off, he didn’t even check with him first before closing the deal-Lois laughs in disbelief and asks how could Michael ask him? What does he think Eddie would have said if Michael had tried to talk to him about a business deal-Ned says that doesn’t matter, he wasn’t even working for ELQ!
Ned continues, telling Lois Michael is only a shareholder nothing more, and he had no right to go behind his back and close that deal! Lois says that makes no sense-but does she mean Ned makes no sense or what Michael did make no sense?
