General Hospital star Tyler Christopher has passed away at the age of 50. The talented actor, who was best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine on the hit ABC and as Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives, reportedly died of cardiac arrest in his San Diego home on October 31st. While there’s no doubt that the daytime television world is continuing to process the loss of this talented actor, the actor did share a sweet last message for his two children, Greysun and Boheme. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital: Tyler Christopher’s Last Message For His Children
On Tyler’s 50th birthday back in November of 2022, Tyler shared a photo of himself with his children along with a message that said, “I have fond memories of celebrating my 40th birthday at The Little Beach House in Malibu surrounded by friends. In the decade since then my daughter was born, I won an Emmy, was the lead actor in 4 television shows, completed a dozen movies, lived in a half dozen states, relapsed and recovered, survived a traumatic brain injury and pandemic, became single again, lost some friends and family, found my savior, embraced God’s will for me, and learned to be content living a quieter life.”
He continued, “This weekend I spent my 50th birthday in an obscure Mexican restaurant in Indiana with my two beautiful children. There is no place I would have rather been than with those joyous souls. To those who did not think I would make it to 50 I will share my favorite poem ‘I am the master of my fate. I am the Captain of my soul.’ The best is yet to come.”
General Hospital: Tyler Christopher Loved His Children
In September of that year, he also shared another photo with his kids and wrote, “Never again will I take for granted spending time with my children doing all the little things that never before seemed monumental but are now everything to me. There are no words to express my gratitude for our after school dinner where they told me about their day. I’ve never so enjoyed a trip to Target to pick out a toy or an afternoon at the movies. Playing with my children has always brought the greatest joy. I am grateful for this new chapter in my life for the time it allows me to be close to them.”
