General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will be forced to make a big decision. She’ll consult with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) before actually going through with it, but will Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) be out as the Face of Deception?
General Hospital Spoilers: Lucy Coe Was Forced To Censure Sasha Gilmore
Lucy was forced to censure Sasha before, when she actually was on drugs and instead of outright firing her she put her on an enforced leave of absence. She returned when she was more healed from her horrible experiences of losing her baby and being widowed in a short stretch of time, making “The Deceptor” their most successful product.
But the problem is now, the company is facing a lawsuit over stealing the idea for the product from Blair Cramer, (Kassie DePaiva) Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) third wife.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) got her claws into it as well, conspiring with Blair, and now they face losing everything. Bringing Sasha back on right now, with all of her well-known controversies, would only make things worse.
GH Spoilers: Doesn’t Want To, Might Have To
Lucy knows that Sasha just came through an ordeal that totally wasn’t her fault-once Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) was arrested and Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was gone she was free.
Lucy doesn’t want to fire Sasha and replace her, especially after her bank accounts were milked dry by her gambling-addicted guardian, but there may be no choice because of the lawsuit. It’s just another thing that could be used by the opposing counsel should he decide to play dirty although, honestly, that would probably be at the urging of Blair and Tracy!
But right now, the optics would be horrid if Sasha returned as the Face of Deception with an impending lawsuit, and besides, the company’s assets are frozen because of the lawsuit.
General Hospital Spoilers: Lucy Coe And Maxie Jones Have A Meeting
Lucy and Maxie have a meeting, after Sasha is brought up to speed on the lawsuit and it can’t be business as usual for a while. Obviously, they can’t hire someone new as the Face of Deception with frozen assets and bank accounts but they’re coming up with a contingency plan.
They know that even if they win the lawsuit they have to do something new-even though they may be forgiving, the public and their customers may not be.
Sasha’s situation has hit the news because of her celebrity, unfortunately it’s more that she’s infamous than famous, and so there’s no cover up possible. There is some time to make a decision, but to save the company, they may have to do something drastic before the court date comes.
