General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, July 13 tease surprise visits, narrow escapes and a code blue crisis! Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) is surprised to see someone, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) made a narrow escape, and there’s a Code Blue crisis during Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) operation.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Gilmore Doesn’t Want A Lawyer
At the PCPD, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is being questioned by Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) after bringing her in for shoplifting. There was a security tag on a blouse intended for Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) that she was going to return when Chase showed up to arrest her. She and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) had been together when she bought everything, so Maxie should be able to help.
But after being read her Miranda rights, Sasha declines legal representation, saying lawyers are for guilty people. That could prove to be a mistake.
GH Spoilers: Surprise Visits
Meanwhile, at General Hospital, Marshall tells someone he’s surprised to see them there. The family is all waiting and praying while Curtis is in the operating room, so perhaps Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has come by. As Deputy Mayor she would have professional interest in the outcome, but she’d also have personal interest as his ex-wife. At the very least she’d want to support her son TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) who’s in the operating room assisting with the surgery. Jordan will want to support the family and joining her prayers with everyone else’s, especially since she was there during the sniper attack.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sam McCall Surprised And Shocked
Elsewhere, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) seems surprised and shocked as she asks Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) what does that woman have on you? It’s unclear exactly who Sam is talking about, although they are standing near a rack of clothing. Might she be talking about Sasha and she set her up for the shoplifting like she set Cody up for the jewelry theft?
If that’s what she’s doing, she’s got Sam completely snowed, Gladys playing the victim while being the victimizer. She’s got that sneaky look on her face as Sam questions her.
GH Spoilers: Narrow Escape
Meanwhile, at the Savoy, Cody’s apparently made aware that he made a narrow escape. Selina Wu (Lydia Look) says Mr. Bell learned how humanist they are, after Li (Samuel Wang) punched him in the gut after finding white ink and marked cards. The last time Cody got a beating from Li, he was left in a back alley for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to find. Selina could be talking to someone else about Cody as well, but her term “humanist” implies he wasn’t beaten within an inch of his life this time.
General Hospital Spoilers: Providing Comfort And Hope
Back at GH, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) is probably trying to provide herself with comfort and hope regarding Curtis as much as she is Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Stella tries to assure Trina, speaking about Curtis, that he will fight to get back to her. This is bound to be a long operation, with delicate surgery needed to remove the bullet which is lodged near Curtis’ upper spine.
The fact that he’s never regained consciousness, although he was stabilized, doesn’t bode well either. It does indeed sound like the odds are stacked against Curtis.
GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Will Not Rest
Elsewhere, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tells someone he is not going to rest until he finds out, and he’s got to be talking about the identity of the sniper. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had theorized that either Sonny or Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were the target, or possibly both since there were three shots. Curtis had been hit by a ricocheted bullet, and both Sonny and Anna have been investigating, as well as the PCPD. But as long as those responsible have not been brought to justice, there’s danger in Port Charles for everyone!
General Hospital Spoilers: Code Blue Crisis
Meanwhile, in the operating room where Curtis is being worked on, there’s a code blue crisis as someone, possibly Dr. Andy Lacey (Jonathan Ohye) shouts “get the crash cart”! Curtis is seen on the table on his stomach with oxygen tubes in his mouth and nose, and a monitor with a deadly arrythmia showing behind him. Curtis apparently has coded on the way to flatlining and needing a crash cart means he’s flatlined and needs resuscitation.
However, if Willow could make it back after being on the brink of death and an out of body experience, surely Curtis can. It’s truly a wait and see life or death situation!
