The Young and the Restless alum Mishael Morgan has moved on from the soap opera world, but it looks like she still has some regrets for not getting to have some storylines play out for her character, Amanda Sinclair. Here’s what you need to know.
The Young and the Restless Alum Mishael Morgan Opens Up About Some Of Her Regrets With The Show
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the actress says that she wishes that she could have had a storyline with her co-star, Christian J. LeBlanc, who plays Michael on the show. She told the publication, “I feel like our characters have kind of tippy-toed around each other without getting into anything heavy. When I came back as a lawyer, I was really excited about working with Christian but it never really happened.”
Mishael also said that she really does miss everyone that she got to work with both on camera and off. She said, “Oh, so much! I don’t look at the crew as any different than the cast. They’re my friends and my colleagues,” and also added that she misses, “chatting with the hair and makeup people. They really become like your family.”
The Young and the Restless News: What’s Next For Mishael?
With that said, Mishael has moved on from soaps to primetime work. Last week, the actress shared a photo of herself in character as Dr. Petra Dupre from the set of Chicago Med.
Earlier in the month, and in a post on her Instagram account, Mishael admitted that she’s taking a bit of a step back from the show to focus on other things in her life right now. She began her post by saying, “I just wrapped for my last scenes back at Y&R and I just wanted to let the cat out of the bag a little bit. A lot of people have noticed that my name is not on the main credits anymore and I wanted everybody to know that it was my decision. I decided, actually back in December, that I wanted to take a bit of a step back from the show. I just feel like at this point in my life and at this point in my career, I wanted to mix things up a little bit.”
