The last 12 months probably weren’t ideal for Steve Burton, but thankfully things are turning around for the former General Hospital star – and for the better, too. In fact, it seems like the actor has a lot to celebrate these days. Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives News: Steve Burton’s Life Is Turning Around For The Better
As many fans most likely know, Steve’s life has been one rollercoaster of a ride ever since he was let go from General Hospital back in November 2021. Both he and his former co-star Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper Jacks) lost their jobs when they refused to comply with the network’s vaccine mandate. It was a tough joss for Steve as the set of General Hospital always felt like a second home for him.
If that weren’t enough, it was also revealed a few months later that his wife Sheree Burton was pregnant. Actually, make that his ex-wife as Steve was forced to set the record straight about their marital status. The actor admitted that the baby was not his and that the couple had quietly separated. Of course, that didn’t stop daytime television fans from speculating about what might have happened behind closed doors but as of press time, Steve has said absolutely nothing about his marriage and his separation from Sheree.
Days of Our Lives News: What’s Next For Steve?
With all of that said, Steve has finally gotten some good news as he was just hired as a full-time actor on Days of Our Lives. Earlier in the year, he had reprised his role as Harris Michaels on the Peacock spin-off, Beyond Salem. And now Steve has truly shown his appreciation for everything that he has in his life as he posted a cheerful photo of himself on his Instagram account with his best friend, Bradford Anderson. He captioned it with, “Picture a moment with your friend. Here it is. Joy, peace and a celebration of now. Here’s to YOU. Thank you.”
Many of his fans commented on his photo with, “I’m going to get a million spam messages for commenting, but this is worth it. Love this friendship! Hold onto it forever. True friends are the people who make you real. That’s it,” along with, “Your friendship is truly a blessing. This picture really captures the genuine love, respect you have for each other and the fun, positive energy you create together. It is real and being present in the moment with you when you bring it to the stage is remarkable. Love this, love you and love us when I am fortunate enough to steal my own moment with you both.”
