British Royal News suggests that it doesn’t sound as though they are getting an advanced copy. There’s a new report that says the royal family is “hugely nervous” over what might be inside Prince Harry’s hotly anticipated memoir. While no release date has been set forth yet, sources say that the royals are certainly clutching their crown jewels over this one. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal News: The Royal Family Is Extremely Nervous Over Prince Harry’s Memoir
According to Page Six, royal expert Tom Bower, who wrote the book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors,” believes that the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming book feels like a ticking time bomb for the royals.
“I think that everybody knows that the Sussexes can’t amend the book in any way,” he opines. “Can they make it nastier? Because otherwise, we wouldn’t get sales.”
Bower added that the book should come out sometime during Easter and that it will also include a chapter on Queen Elizbeth’s funeral.
“And there’ll just be more material about how they were snubbed and all the rest of the invective against the royal family,” he adds. “So I think to that extent, the delay will add to the poison.”
Meanwhile, palace aids say King Charles III wants Prince Harry to stop publishing his memoirs simply because there is deep concern that the book will contain some damaging revelations about the royal family. The timing couldn’t be any worse too as King Charles III is currently in the first 100 days of his reign.
British Royal News: What’s Next For The Royals?
One source close to the situation even said, “The question inside the Palace is: ‘Can Can the book be stopped?’ It may be that even Harry can’t stop it at this stage but the feeling at the very top is that there’s no good that can come of airing grievances in public.”
Not only that, but it has also been suggested that the royals are putting their lawyers on standby, should anything come out that is particularly offensive or damaging from Harry’s book.
Another tipster added, “His Majesty will build on the points he has expressed to the nation: now that the period of mourning is over, he will support diversity, promote community spirit and protect the space for those with faith and those without. He is mindful that, as King, his interests and passions will continue but that… some of his previous commitments will now continue in the trusted hands of others.”
