British Royal News suggests that this tour certainly did not go as planned. There’s a new report that says that Kate Middleton apparently got heckled by an Irish nationalist while she was in Northern Ireland this past week. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal News: Kate Middleton Heckled During Northern Ireland Stop
On her visit with Prince William today to Northern Ireland, the Princess of Wales was told “it would be better” if she was “in your own country.” The woman, who was in the crowds meeting Kate and recording the moment on her phone, told the Royal: “Ireland belong to the Irish.”
Yikes! The British princess smiled, let go of the woman’s hand and continued to greet others in the crowd. William and Kate also visited Trademarket, a new outdoor street food and retail market in Belfast. The couple made their way behind the bar and took part in a friendly competition to see who was the fastest at making a cocktail.
Of course, many royal fans and critics alike commented on the matter with, “And of course that’s what makes the headlines in the tabloids–one woman heckling. I am of Irish descent, from the Republic, but that was just plain rude,” along with, “That very disrespectful lady should have stayed at home instead of wasting her time waiting for someone she doesn’t like. Catherine handled the moment perfectly tho! She and William were welcomed with open arms by everyone else! There’s a lot of love for them.”
Another critic wrote, “I can say the same about Meghan during the walkabout outside Windsor. A Karen ignored her and you guys + the media made a song and danced about it, spinning the narrative. Meghan also got warm sincere greetings straight after too.”

And then this commenter said, “Oh, I’m sure she believes what she said. I was in N. Ireland a couple of weeks ago, and was there for the Queen’s funeral. Esp. after Brexit the mood there has changed, as have the demographics. More changes are coming, I think.”
Meanwhile, there are some people out there who are none too pleased with the fact that the newly minted Prince and Princess of Wales simply want to give their children a very normal upbringing, despite their royal titles. William and Kate decided last summer that they wanted to move to Windsor in order to be closer to Queen Elizabeth, who died on September 8th, and also so they could have more privacy from the prying eyes of the paparazzi.
Well, podcast hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie of ‘Royally Obsessed’ believe that this caused nothing but a huge problem, mostly because William and Kate had previously spent millions to renovate their home at Kensington Palace.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
