It looks like The Bold and the Beautiful is sure giving The Young and the Restless a good run for their money in the ratings war. Here’s what you need to know!
The Young and the Restless And The Bold and the Beautiful Are Neck And Neck In The Ratings War
According to the latest numbers, The Bold and the Beautiful saw an uptick in viewers by around 515,000 for a total of 3.320 million viewers tuning in. In comparison, The Young and the Restless say 247,000 more viewers with about 3.535 million total watching the show last week. Talk about a close call!
Needless to say, a lot of daytime television fans have been commenting about the ratings war on social media. Some of them have said, “Y & R and B & B have both been stellar recently. The only difference is that B & B usually only *has* one story, only this time it happens to be an interesting one. Y & R has also now one big umbrella story, which is good: The Return of Diane Jenkins. They haven’t really had umbrella storylines like this in a long time, have they? GH has been pretty good as well, especially now that they are actually making Nina the heroine and Carly the desperate one. DAYS is and will always be my soap, and the Gwen wedding was excellent. But this devil thing has run its course eons ago!” along with, “Y&R and B&B are dominated May Sweeps this month. It’s getting really good. I’m rooting for Y&R will get the boost higher thanks to Mariah and Tessa’s wedding next week. CBS daytime dramas are proving to the network heads if given proper attention and offering good stories the people will watch. Hurray for CBS daytime.”
The Young and the Restless And The Bold and the Beautiful Are Both Gaining Viewers
Another fan said, “I haven’t been one to complain about it but I’m glad the devil story is over. I am happy with GH and Days. B&B and Y&R at least have something enjoyable on screen which is an improvement on what I’ve become accustomed to on those shows of late.”
Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next! I can’t understand there being any kind of contest between these two shows. We are being treated to yet another go round of Ridge Taylor and Brooke and I for one am not the least bit interested in watching it ! I also cant stand Deacon and how he just walks in Brooke’s home without knocking at least when Ridge came over to Brooke’s he knocked …but Deacon just walks right in, it truly annoys me seeing this.
