The Young and the Restless News: Eric Braeden Is Lashing Out On Twitter For This Reason

The Young and the Restless news says that some of our favorite soap fans seem to enjoy stirring drama in real life as much as they do on the canvas. But we are not talking about personal drama, but the political kind instead. And that’s exactly what The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) did when he tweeted his two cents about Joe Manchin this week. Here’s what you need to know.

The Young and the Restless News: Eric Braeden Is Lashing Out On Twitter For This Reason

As many fans probably know by now, the West Virginia Democrats voted no on the Roe vs. Wade bill, saying that it went too far. Manchin said that while he would vote for a bill that would legalize abortion on the federal level, the bill before the Senate wasn’t in his taste. “I was hopeful that the Democratic Party having control of the agenda would put a piece of legislation forward that would codify Roe v. Wade,” Manchin said.

Needless to say, some of his harshest critics, including Eric Braeden, sure had a lot to say about this. He tweeted, “Joe Manchin, you truly are an embarrassment to the Democratic Party! I hope the good people of WV recognize you for who you really are: an enemy of the people!!”

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for both Eric’s fans and followers to weigh in on the matter, too. Many of them wrote, “Eric, read the entire Bill before making your decision. I know most of the time we trust our leaders that we support to make correct decisions but I can’t imagine anyone sanctioning to kill a full term baby. It also has other things that are pretty wild for the American people,” along with, “Did you even read the Bill? Allowing up to 9 months for abortion and even partial birth abortion!  That’s evil.”

The Young and the Restless News: Do you Agree With Eric?

Yet another critic wrote, “Wow can’t believe you be ok with someone killing a baby at full term. The bill needed 60 votes, only got 49. It was never going to pass and was only put out there to put people on the record for the midterms.”

I don’t think he read the entire bill. Aside from that I feel the stars should refrain from getting into voicing their political opinions. I’m for free so each but this is not the place.

Eric could not have read the bill, but I don’t think most of the people that voted for it read it either. If you can kill a full term baby you are more than evil you are the devil himself. I just hope Eric is not that person.

    Dear Muffin,
You say “The Stars” shouldn’t voice their personal opinions!! Any & everyone has the right to freedom of speech whether it’s political or not. Who made you the damn judge & jury?? We as an entire world no matter what job we choose as a profession, have the right to speak our minds!! He has his opinion & you have yours. Both are equally valued.

I agree with Eric Braden that Joe Manchin is a piece of work .anything the Democrats want to do he’s against it what is your problem poor excuse for the people shame on you .when your time is up you won’t get back in shame on you again.you are not for the Democrats party at all but you don’t care you getting big bucks for being a pain in the ass

My friend you are completely clueless. This bill is beyond evil. If you don’t want children take the necessary steps to prevent it. As for the other so called rights that the activists are concerned about that is a complete sham.No one is trying to take away women’s health rights.. Not one of you liberal leaning people are concerned at all about the rights of the baby’s body. Mr. Manchin, seems to me to actually consider what is best for the country as well as his state. I commend him for his stand.

Peggy, thank you. We need to stand up for the innocent babies that have no way to defend their rights. All lives do matter, not just those that have political clout and scream the loudest.

Eric I am surprised that you feel killing full term babies or any babies is the right thing to do shame on you. I really must not say anymore on this subject except that your opinion disgusts me you have children and grandchildren of your own would you have felt the same way if your wife and your children decided to end their pregnancy
