The Young and the Restless fans have something to celebrate – and talk about, too! That’s because everyone’s favorite CBS soap is enjoying a ratings high thanks to the return of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and the possibility of her forming an alliance with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Here’s what you need to know.
The Young and the Restless News: Y&R Win The Ratings War For The Week Of March 28-April 1
According to the latest ratings, The Young and the Restless is holding steady in the ratings war as the highest rated daytime television soap with over 3.6 million people tuning in for the week of March 28 to April 1. However, their ratings are slightly down compared to this time last year when over 4 million people tuned in to Y&R.
Meanwhile, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers suggest that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) might have that midas touch when it comes to the ratings war. That’s because the hit CBS soap is enjoying a ratings high thanks to Sheila accidentally shooting her son Finn (Tanner Novlan) and then Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) just so she could keep quiet about it. However, B&B ratings are slightly down compared to this time last year. B&B saw 2.9 million people tune in last week, compared to 3.2 million people who tuned in this time last year.
Meanwhile, General Hospital has seen the same ratings compared to last year as 2.2 million tuned in last week compared to 2.4 million from last year. That said, Days of Our Lives seems to have dipped in the ratings war, too. Only 1.6 million people tuned in the week of March 28 to April 9 while over 2.2 million tuned in this time last year.
The Young and the Restless News: What’s Next?
While all of the drama in Genoa City is certainly pulling everyone in, it looks like there’s plenty of action going on at the other four soaps, too. With Carly Corinthos now dating Drew on General Hospital, Sheila causing mayhem in the fictional city of Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful and the devil getting ahold of just about everyone in Salem over at Days of Our Lives, there’s plenty of reasons to tune in. Do you agree?
