This Is The Reason Why Prince Harry Won’t Return To The UK In 2022

No one can blame him for wanting to stay away from the royal drama even though he might be a little responsible for creating some on his end, too. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry won’t be returning to the UK this year. And while previous reports have suggested that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are worried about their family’s security, there’s another reason why he’s not willing to step his foot on the tarmac at Heathrow. That’s because of a tell-all memoir that he’s writing about his family that’s set to come out later this year. Here’s what you need to know.

This Is The Reason Why Prince Harry Won’t Return To The UK In 2022

According to the Daily Mail, it’s highly unlikely that Harry will return to the UK unless he absolutely has to. Even though it’s Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum year, there’s a chance Harry and Meghan won’t be on hand for all of the celebrations and that’s because of all the secrets he’s about to spill in his book, according to royal expert Tom Bower.

He put it this way, “I think Harry won’t come back because he knows he cannot face his family, and be pleasant with them, knowing what he’s written about them in that book. That book will have a lot of casualties and cause a lot of hurt. It will really deliver, as Harry knows it has to, to justify the money he’s been paid to do it. How can Harry come back and pretend it’s all fine? The worst of what he will say is yet to come.”

Meanwhile, Harry’s lawyer, Shaheed Fatima, said the prince “does not feel safe when he is in the U.K. given the security arrangements applied to him.” The prince is legally challenging the U.K. government’s policy that he cannot pay for personal protection from the country’s police force when he travels back to his homeland.

“It goes without saying that he does want to come back to see family and friends and to continue to support the charities that are so close to his heart,” she said. “Most of all, this is and always will be, his home.”

That said, Robert Palmer, a lawyer on behalf of the British government, said that Harry’s legal challenge was “unarguable and unmeritorious.” He is arguing that there’s no need to pay for personal police security because “personal protective security by the police is not available on a privately financed basis.”
