The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that while Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) might have the best of intentions when it comes to repairing some of the damaged relationships in his life, not everyone feels this same way about him. Actor Sean Kanan, who plays bad boy Deacon on the hit CBS soap, recently opened up about some of his character’s relationships, including the daddy and daughter dynamic between Deacon and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Here’s what he has to say.
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Sean Kanan Opens Up About The Father/Daughter Dynamic Between Deacon And Hope
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Sean said that his character is doing everything he can to tiptoe around Hope’s emotions. He said, “Hope is pretty formidable. If there was a good cop/bad cop scenario to come down the line, I’d be a little more leery about Deacon disturbing Hope and not getting on her bad side. Annika’s [Noelle, Hope] done a great job with the character, I’ve got to say. She’s awesome.”
Sean also opened up about Deacon’s love story with his ex, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Almost two decades later and Deacon says that he and actress Katherine Kelly Lang have not missed a beat at all. “ I think the connection between the characters is still strong and we are able to, not re-create it on screen, but reach back to the history and tap into that. Deacon will always carry a torch for Brooke, and there is no guile or subterfuge involved at all. In his mind, she is the one who got away and he has always loved her. It is 100 percent justified,” he explained.
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Next For Deacon?
Now as far as Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is concerned and the potential rivalry between him and Deacon, Sean said, “Playing these scenes, I look at Thorsten [Kaye, Ridge] and I’d be like, ‘I’d get a shotgun [laughs].’ That’d be me, but I completely understand Ridge’s blatant apprehension and wanting Deacon to leave now.”
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers also say that Carter is going to have a hard time explaining to Grace why he’s getting involved with one of her daughters again. Watch this space as he and Paris are about to find out, and not in a good way, either.
