General Hospital Spoilers: Charles Shaughnessy Weighs In On Victor’s Newfound Freedom
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, even Charles realizes that there aren’t many people that Victor can trust in this fictional town of Port Charles. However, he did tell the publication that it has been quite fun to see his character interact more and more with some of the other characters. But at the same time, Charles admits that he’s still struggling to figure out who everyone is. The actor puts it this way, “Do I hate them? Do I like them? Are they trying to kill me? Am I trying to kill them? Have I slept with them? It moves at breakneck speed.”
Charles continued, “When Victor showed up for Thanksgiving at Alexis’s house, it was like a bevy of Cassadines. Everyone’s there and tension is high and Victor is surprisingly back from the dead and it was quite fun trying to figure out who everyone was and how I was related to them. But they are definitely having Victor interact with more varied people now, which is nice.”
What’s more, Charles also said that he’s discovering more and more of his character as he goes. He also says that he hopes he’s making the right decisions for his characters, as he knows that General Hospital viewers out there know Victor’s history like the back of their hand.
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Victor?
He explained, “You sometimes make a choice then get the next script and realize it was completely wrong! You just hope it works. But the power dynamics with Tristan are fun to explore. Same with Marcus Coloma and Finola Hughes and with James Patrick Stuart, this whole new dynamic now that we are father and son – and Valentin isn’t very happy about it!

I know that he’s been pretty much evil incarnate in the past but I guess Charles just naturally placed the character likeable so I’m still holding out hope that he’s not a complete bad guy
I believe Spoon Island should be Victor’s new home. It’s big enough for more than one family. I would like to see them become a Greek version of the Quartermaines. It could get very interesting. I want the Cassadines to be a family but not so evil as once was. Give hearts to the ones who are a bit lacking. I like each individual member except Esme.
I don’t want to watch General Hospital without Jason and Jax. Figure out something so they can be on the show. If everyone else is vaccinated then it doesn’t matter. The show would be boring without Jason.
