Prince Harry Urged To Get Back Into the Royal Fold Without Meghan Markle

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security case keeps dragging on, new speculations keep arising everyday that goes by.

The couple has been private citizens since they chose to leave in 2020, and according to the Palace, their return does not change that fact.

However, since Harry is going to be lingering in the UK, whilst Meghan reportedly plays the jet-setter and breadwinner, experts are questioning why he doesn’t just take up the working royal mantle once more.

Prince Harry Could Return To Royal Duties In Order to Secure Taxpayer-funded Security

Prince Harry has been pretty busy since he landed in the UK. Perhaps even as busy as he was when he was still a working royal. But, he’s essentially doing all this as a private citizen with no security or support from the Monarchy.

Even though he’s appealed to Home Office to reinstall his round-the-clock police protection, there’s no guarantee he won’t be met with the same negative response he has received so many times in the past. Perhaps the best way forward is to hunker down and return to work as a senior working royal.

Weighing in on this via Palace Confidential, Richard Eden told Sarah Vine that the best path forward for Harry is if he could return as a working royal, preferably without his wife Meghan.

To this, Vine wondered, “Do you think there’s a case for saying, if he does get police protection, which he probably will do, then maybe he should resume some royal duties.”

Eden agreed, saying, “I think that is part of the plot I’ve been talking about, and it will be quid pro quo. Look at what’s been happening this week. Harry’s been in New York, talking about an issue there.”

He added, “I know people in government are saying, ‘we’re not using resources best, we’ve got this Royal Family, they’re costing a fortune in security, let’s get some value for money from them.’”

Personally, I think Harry is eager to return as a working royal. The roadblock will essentially dwell with King Charles, who may feel that it’d better for everybody if things remain as they are.
