Apparently, a lot of viewers have noticed this one odd detail about the show and for many fans who have watched the soap religiously for the last several decades, they just want it to stop already.
For those of you wondering if we are talking about all the “business talk” on the show, you certainly guessed right.
Y&R fans have made it pretty clear that they love the romance and drama that they get to see in this fictional town of Genoa City every week, but it also seems like everyone is a CEO or CO-CEO except for Matt and Esther.
Simply put, they are just over the corporate talk and want to see better or even more interesting writing on The Young and the Restless.
Some critics even took to social media to comment on the matter with, “I won’t speak for anyone else – but I am so tired of the business talk on Y+R I could yak.
Please, writers – it’s gone on too long and it isn’t interesting. The constant fighting over who owns what and who is president and whose media company is more viable … it’s a snoozefest.”
Another critic wrote, “I wouldn’t mind it if it was realistic. I think it was back when the Athletic Club opened they had an entertainment reporter there.
Bring in a financial reporter to make it realistic. Or just end the business fantasy stuff all together.”
And then there was this comment as well: “There will always be some business talk, that’s part of Y&R DNA, like fashion on B&B. But when Bill Bell was writing it was more realistic and it wasn’t part of every story.
You had lawyers, doctors, Rock stars, etc. Katherine ran Chancellor, and Newman & Jabot were there, but that was it.”
Needless to say, Y&R fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
