Prince Harry & Meghan’s Palace War Explodes – Sussexes Refuse To Back Down As Battle Lines Are Drawn

It hasn’t been that long since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in the UK, and they’re already involved in a public spat with the Palace.

When Buckingham Palace went live with a letter clarifying the duo’s current standing within the Monarchy, the Sussex PR machine kicked into high gear as a result.

First, we heard they were “surprised” by the letter, and finally, we’re hearing that they weren’t given enough time to clarify a few points on the letter.

For example, the couple would prefer to be labelled as “public figures” and not “privare citizens.”

How quaint.

Royal Expert Claims Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Haven’t Changed

On Monday, the Lord Chamberlain, at King Charles’ direction, released a letter to relevant senior stakeholders across Government, the military and Lord Lieutenancies.

In the letter, the Palace sought to clarify Prince Harry and Meghan’s roles as former working senior royals.

The first of the saga started when Harry and Meghan released a statement via their press team to say that they were “surprised” at the letter’s distribution. They, per the report, had wanted to make a note on one or two points.

Weighing in on this latest round of drama is former royal butler Grant Harrold, who believes that the Sussexes are simply taking a leaf out of their old playbook.

“This is exactly what happened six years ago, when Harry and Meghan first announced their intention to step back as working royals. It’s the Royal Family putting out one statement, then the Sussexes replying with another and so on.

It’s basically repeating itself. They’ve come back into the country and just picked up where they left off,” Harrold explained.

He continued: “The fact the King has expressed how he sees the situation, and they’ve come out and said they see it differently, shows that things are far from sorted behind Palace walls.

I think it’s going to be another war of words, and this is the battle lines being drawn up. I don’t think Harry and Meghan will back down.”

However, he warned that if Harry and Meghan keep feeding the confusion, they might come out of it with a broken brand.
