The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor’s War Backfires – Victoria & Kyle’s Forbidden Romance Changes Everything

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) offered a grudging admission when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) forced his hand.

The Moustache said his love for her overrode his loathing of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), but he never promised to end his fight against him.

Digitally skipping weeks past when the above scene played out and Victor and Nikki reconciled, Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) are cozy together again too. After their Tahiti adventure, drama naturally ensues in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

As viewers recall, and the Abbott lovebirds do as well, their son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), was working on what seemed to be a business deal with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) before the departure.

Now, upon returning, Jack and Diane, along with Victor and Nikki, will become more aware of what’s happening with what could be GC’s new It couple.

Victor Newman Is Liable For Patty Williams’ Crimes

The law in this Midwestern town is ever subjective and sometimes outright crooked.

Whether it can be proven that Victor helped get Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) out of her mental health facility and then paid her to set Jack up on a yacht so that Diane, Kyle, and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) would happen upon them is a moot point.

Victor is the reason why this highly unstable woman could nearly knife Jack to death and then inject Diane with a near-deadly amount of digitalis. But will he be held to account for his crimes when he’s clearly liable?

Sure, Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) would pretend that his client and, strangely, father-figure mentor was completely innocent, thereby enabling Victor to exist with a business-as-usual mentality.

Jack Abbott Can’t Focus On Business

Many of Victor’s various attacks, both open and subverted, forced Jack to shift his focus to Abbott family members. That was part of the intent, as Jack couldn’t focus on Jabot and instead had to respond to the Moustache’s antics.

However, Patty is a unique challenge. Her many revivals have included deadly mayhem or putting numerous people’s lives at risk.

Jack holds Victor accountable for Diane having almost died because of Patty’s use of an intended poisonous substance.

The digitalis that was in the syringe she held was meant for Jack. Diane and Kyle’s arrival in Jack’s hospital room disrupted that plan, which then morphed into Patty stabbing Walters’ character in the neck.

Victoria Newman Throws A Late Summer Curveball

Victor wouldn’t have predicted that the man who, for years, was part of Summer Newman’s (last played by Allison Lanier) life, would become involved with her aunt. However, Victoria is the woman who Kyle sees as far more than a business tie.

Ownership of Vibrante was one angle Kyle used to introduce the idea of Jabot and Newman Enterprises engaging in a faked corporate fight.

That was something he and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) were planning before Victor pulled the plug.

Working on one of his schemes, Victor provided a quid pro quo to Audra, who was to make a play for Kyle with the opportunity to have her own business, Vibrante serving as the prize to be earned.

Mealor’s character cleverly turned that plot around and, in addition to reviving the coordinated corporate effort, attracted Victoria.

So, at this point in the plot, Jack and Diane will be rightly focused on dealing with the threat Patty represents.

However, Victor won’t be able to pursue the Abbot family without considering his oldest child’s and the head of Newman Enterprises’ part in this soapy play.
