The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 28 reveal that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are in Tahiti for some alone time while Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) has an encounter with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).

Let’s start with Jack and Diane. They deserve time away after the horrible things Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) put them through.
Jack was kidnapped by Patty then Diane was kidnapped by Patty’s accomplice Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns).
In paradise Jack and Diane process the past and look forward to happier times ahead. Patty is now in a psychiatric ward ahead of her trial and the Abbotts hope they have seen the last of her.

Jack wants to allay Diane’s fears about Patty but he may promise more than he can accomplish. Red hot Y&R spoilers hint that Jack has blinders on where Patty is concerned.
In fact, Patty may escape with the help of a fellow captive.
Diane’s Escape Plot
It appears that Matt has been arrested off-screen and put in the same psych place as Patty. How convenient.
Matt’s crime was going against Victor by taking his ankle monitor off and refusing to do his bidding.
On Friday’s episode fans will see Matt and Patty reconnect and they may discuss Victor’s role in their fates.

Both Matt and Patty are cons and we don’t think they will waste time trading recipes behind bars—is a jail break on the horizon? Definitely maybe!
Meanwhile, in Genoa City Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) confronts Victor about Matt’s sudden disappearance.
Sneaky Victor refuses to be cornered and does his typical gaslighting routine with the pesky redhead.

Phyllis isn’t having it and gets wound up as Victor continues to pull her chain. Phyllis has formed a connection with the shady guy and she could regret hounding Victor about his welfare.
