It feels like Billy will take Chancellor, with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) not supporting his quixotic brother but also considering what that type of acquisition would mean for the Abbott family.

Billy’s instincts got him to this point, but actually taking control of what once was Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) company will likely involve significant wrangling and subsequent fallout.

Holden Novak Wants To Be Accepted

Having his mother move back to Genoa City, Wisconsin, where she lived back in the 1990s, was a game-changer. Holden benefits by having his mom’s maternal protection and by implementing her advice.

Working for Cane caused him to enter this soap opera with a stain. He presented himself as Aristotle Dumas, based on the direction of his boss, and is still seen as a snake for doing so.

But Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) have more of a problem with their shared grudge against Holden than reality requires. Yes, he practices open deception, but Owens’ character acknowledged doing so, has sought forgiveness, and continues to do what’s possible to create a legitimate life for himself in what has become home.

Of course, Stephanie, Lily, and everyone else will be thrown when Holden’s and Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) cover-up of the accidental death he caused at The Shadow Room in Los Angeles, California, and the burial of the dead man’s body in the desert is revealed.

Jack Abbott Isn’t An Ideal Sponsor

On the one hand, Jack told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that he wanted to protect her by creating some distance between them in this period of reconciliation she’s enjoying with her husband.

But on the other hand, Bergman’s character drove directly to the Ranch after he met with Nikki at Jabot.

Their decision to remain in contact led Jack to believe he needed to ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to put his loathing of him aside so he could become Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) sponsor.

Viewers wondered why Nikki would insist that Jack serve in that role for Nick. She did say that Victor admitted that his love for her is greater than his disdain for Jack. But there isn’t one other person in all of GC who could be Nick’s sponsor?
