The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Will Steffy Break Down To Ridge, Or Follow Carter’s Advice To Stay Quiet?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is stuck between two terrible options right now.

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) already caught her arguing with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), and he wants answers. Of course, Carter doesn’t want her to say anything, but we think Steffy is going to cave and tell her father everything.

Why Ridge Might Be The One She Actually Trusts

Steffy has spent her entire life going to Ridge when things get messy. She’s a daddy’s girl, and that’s part of the reason we all love her.

Carter’s advice to keep it a secret definitely seems easier at the moment. But imagine the nuclear fallout of that bomb going off in six months. It will be 5000x worse than if the truth just came out now.

Ridge is right there, already suspicious and wanting to know what’s going on. At some point, the pressure of lying to her father is going to outweigh protecting herself and Carter.

All Ridge has to do is look at her for a few moments in the eyes, and something will happen. She will let it out, and while it’s going to hurt a lot right now, ultimately, it will be for the best.

What Happens If She Actually Tells Him

If Steffy comes clean to Ridge, that’s a different conversation than confessing to Finn. Ridge isn’t just her dad, he’s Carter’s boss.

The second he knows the truth, Carter’s job is suddenly on the table. He’s never been shy about picking sides when it comes to his kids, and if he wants it that way, Carter could be gone, and Steffy will have that on her conscience as well.

This seems way more plausible than Steffy just not saying anything, though. While she might think it’s easier to buy time and figure out a way to tell Finn eventually, she knows deep down that if she tells Ridge, telling Finn will be much easier. Or at least she’ll feel obligated to at that point.
