The Young And The Restless Spoilers Wednesday, August 19: Nikki’s New Worry, Sharon’s Tirade, Matt’s Frustration

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 19 reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) strategizes while Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) protests Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) request.

Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are worried about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and discuss solutions.

Nick is back in rehab, but Victor and Nikki understandably want to do everything in their power to help Nick succeed.

Niktor’s Goal

Nick previously checked himself out of rehab and had a tortured experience. He relapsed with a motel girl that his parents would have a difficult time accepting—they thought Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) was bad!

Being in recovery, Nikki knows that only Nick himself can chose to persevere in the quest to be sober.

Nikki also notes that bio dad Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is watching out for Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson).

Nick’s Concern

Nick specifically asked Adam to look after Christian and Nikki is uneasy about this since she doesn’t trust Adam.

Victor likely reassures Nikki that he is keeping an eye on the situation and will keep Adam in line, despite Adan not staying in his lane in the family business.

Chancellor Dreams

Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) tries to handle Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) pursuit of Chancellor.
Billy is on a mission and doesn’t care who gets in the way, Kyle is looking out for the Abbotts and Jabot. He won’t let anyone tarnish the family legacy and we think he’ll fight dirty to win.

Matt’s Big Ask

Over at Crimson Lights, Sharon and Matt engage in a tense encounter. Matt cannot stop asking Sharon to forgive him for his wretched past mistakes but she’s had enough of the apology tour.

We predict that Sharon throws Nick’s spiral into addiction in his face since it’s Matt’s fault.

Nick’s in the struggle of his life all because of Matt’s vendetta. We doubt Sharon is in any mood to help the convict after driving her crushed ex back to rehab.

Matt systematically targeted Nick, Sharon and other Newmans—why doesn’t he just go live in Alaska with the bears?
