Long story short, it seems that ages ago the late John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) helped save Chancellor from bankruptcy. But if there’s no record that the debt was paid, John’s agreement apparently stipulated that the Abbotts would own Chancellor.
In other words, it appears the show is bringing this angle into play via Billy and his digging for dirt.
This plot implies that Billy either keeps the secret or stirs the pot by telling Cane and Lily. Impulsive Billy is a loose cannon and he could spill the beans before he should.
However he handles it, spoilers indicate that Billy obsession comes between Lily and Cane during the Friday GH episode.
Cane and Lily are on a reunion track and Billy’s shenanigans hinder their progress. Cane is counting on getting his wife and kids back on his side but a Billy issue could derail all of that.
Lily is going out on a limb to trust him but will old business throw a wrench in her plans?
Meanwhile Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is worried sick about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He checked himself out of rehab and needs help but she is unable to give it to him.
We suspect that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) plays hero for her again, leading to more domestic drama for their partners!
Elsewhere, Adam and Chelsea confront the past, which is full of twists and turns. Fans will see tensions rise as they work to deal with an issue they thought was behind them.
Spoilers hint the past could be a person like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) or Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani), or something even darker. Red hot The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Chelsea and Adam must work together to have peace in the future!
