Clearly, we are talking about Laura Wright, as the actress has recently announced that she has extended her contract with General Hospital. That clearly shouldn’t surprise anyone, seeing how there’s really no one out there who can play Carly Corithos as well as Laura, right?

But then again, some people think that General Hospital has become too much of a the Laura Wright show. That’s because she’s involved in almost every single storyline.

Of course, many GH fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “I will say this isn’t really much a surprise. The show clearly sees her and she has long been the show’s central female character. Of course they’re going to resign her.”

“It’s also slim pickings out there in terms of soap roles. So there’s no chance she would have left anyways. A lot of people don’t like Carly, and don’t like how Laura (even after all this time) portrays her, and they have the right not to be happy about it.”

What’s Next For Laura Wright?

Another critic wrote, “This is a joke right? She’s not even the best actress on her show. Snarling, scowling, shouting all her lines and moving her hair out of her face does not a good actress make.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I actually like Laura Wright very much but I would not call her the best actress in daytime. right now. She’s a very strong actress and she knows and embraces her niche, but everyone is entitled to their opinion so if that’s what you think, I respect that even though I very much don’t agree.”
