The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Carter and Daphne Make a Bold Choice as New Parenthood Options Emerge
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and his wife, Daphne Walton (Murielle Hilaire), as this character said she wants to be called, believed they could have a family and still can. But a traditional pregnancy seems unlikely.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) told his best friend that alternative parental options exist. Possibly a medical procedure could allow Daphne to overcome her early menopause diagnosis; they could pursue surrogacy, or adopt.
An adoption would be believable and also not feel like an issue was being pushed because it’s controversial. Having them adopt an older child would add an additional twist and allow a younger character to become a significant part of the show as well.
Daphne Rose’s Inclusion Was Excellent
Hilaire’s addition to the cast was magical. As devoted viewers recall, she was Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) friend from Paris, France, who was touted as a world-famous fragrance expert.
Daphne Rose (her maiden name) would enter a room, wearing some new scent, and everyone would be enchanted. Some would stop dead in their tracks and breathe in an alluring fragrance that was like none they’d ever encountered before.
The mystique she projected included a sweet accent that added to Daphne’s exotic allure. Steffy initially brought her to Los Angeles, California, to come between Carter and the then-Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s Duplicitous Matchmaking
Steffy felt certain that Daphne would turn Carter’s head. He naturally found her striking physical appearance and completely charming demeanor to be enticing but remained committed to Hope.
While Steffy’s aim was duplicitous, she felt justified in trying to split Carter and Hope. He seized control of her family business. Hope’s bond with him seemed opportunistic and based on revenge.
That was during the period when Saint-Victor’s character assumed control of Forrester Creations. Hope coupled with him, and together, they ran the Forrester family business.
The above setup never felt believable. It ran its course in a short period; Hope’s love for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) created a break, and Daphne moved to the center of Carter’s romantic radar.
Carter Walton Has Overcome Plenty
One of the more unusual aspects of this show involves Carter’s long run as the eternal bachelor. Rather than that being his choice, he continually pursued women who were wrong for him or lost out on love.
Daphne changed everything. She is totally devoted to him and is heartbroken that her condition seemingly prevents her from giving Carter the child or children he wanted.
Here’s hoping that the developing plot will lead to a fresh path being pursued. Surrogacy has been done, and a miracle medical procedure could come across as fantastical. A sweet adoption storyline would provide believable and relatable drama to all viewers who share that experience themselves.
