Anna Once Believed She Was Peter’s Mother, Thanks To Memory Swap Experiments

General Hospital fans will remember the memory swapping, sometimes called memory mapping experiments done on three sets of identical twins over the years.

Anna and her twin Alexandra Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) were the first set to be experimented on, and as a result, Anna’s memories were confused.

There were a lot of memories of Alex’s in her brain, and she thought those memories were hers, and one of them involved Peter’s birth.

It wasn’t until years later that the memories were sorted out, and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) helped straighten out some of those memories.

Their daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) and Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) helped as well.

Anna Would Have Done Anything For Peter When She Thought He Was Her Son

When Anna thought Peter was her son, she would have sacrificed anything for him-however, his true father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), came from a less than desirable lineage.

As a result, Peter inherited the darkness of his parents; Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) ended his life, and Anna was a witness to his demise.

Although Peter is physically gone, he continues to haunt Anna’s thoughts, she is letting his memory influence her choices-this is a direct consequence of the psychological torment inflicted upon her by Andrew Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Anna has come to the painful realization that she was kidnapped and manipulated into believing Faison was still alive.

She feels the need to find someone to blame for her suffering. In her twisted reasoning, it must be one of his offspring-the only one left to hold accountable is Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Anna Has Been Told Repeatedly By Those She Normally Trusts That Britt Is Not To Blame

Anna has repeatedly heard from her trusted friends that what transpired was not Britt’s doing; yet, just when she starts to accept this reality, “Peter” appears and sways her back to doubt.

The former WSB agent is on a quest for the truth, and the voice in her mind is feeding her answers-but “Peter” might escalate things further. He could manipulate Anna into seeking revenge on Britt, potentially endangering them both.
