Sarah Ferguson has tried her best to keep out of the public eye after her Jeffrey Epstein scandal reached a new peak late last year.
At the time, email correspondence revealed that the former Duchess of York took her two daughters to meet the late convicted sex offender, Epstein. However, this time around, she’s returning to the headlines for a scandal for which she is not directly associated with.
True Crime Series To Explore Sarah Ferguson’s Relationship With Convicted Hairdresser
Being a member of the Royal Family is not an easy thing. At any one time, there are likely so many people who have access to you by way of working for you, and let’s be honest, no vetting process in this world is fool-proof.
I guess that’s why Prince William and Princess Kate opted to downsize their household. It’s also why I imagine Prince Harry said that growing up as part of the Royal Family felt like a cross between the zoo and the Truman show.
Sarah Ferguson’s reputation is by no means pristine, but a new Disney+ show is about to remind people that the romance author once had a murderer as a hairdresser. Of course, like everybody else, she didn’t know it then.
The story of Jane Andrews, Ferguson’s once-upon-a-time hairdresser, will be coming soon in the way of the brand new Disney+ show, titled ‘20/20 Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations.’
Andrew will be one of six persons that will be explored in the true crime documentary, and her story will be told in the episode titled, ‘Jane Andrews: The Duchess & The Killer.’ I think the “Duchess“ in the title is clue enough that the producers mean to explore the convicted Andrews’ connection with Ferguson in perhaps a deeper way than has ever been done before.
Disney describes the series as “Chilling. Arresting. Notorious. 20/20: Britain’s Most Notorious Crime Investigations, a new six-part documentary series exploring six of the UK’s most high-profile criminal cases, premieres Thursday, July 30, on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S.”
The Andrews’ episode description goes, “The British Royal Family is linked to a scandal when a former aide goes on the run after her boyfriend is murdered.
When police find her, she makes explosive allegations of abuse by him. Police delve into the couple’s secrets to ask if she murdered in cold blood?”
In a glimpse of the episode, an expert is heard asking, “How screwed up is the York household, if their servants are killing people?”
Andrews worked as Ferguson’s dresser in the 1990s, growing to become one of her closest aides in just a few short years. She accompanied Ferguson on overseas tours and engagements before finally leaving royal service.
However, a few years later, she made headlines for murdering her fiancé, businessman Thomas Cressman, in 2001.
Now that her story is coming back, Ferguson will probably be gearing up for another public fallout.
