Meghan Markle Thinks Her King Charles Reunion Wasn’t Warm Enough

We can always expect Meghan Markle – aka the lady who came barefooted in jeans to greet her future in-laws – to want the royal treatment.

Let’s for a moment pretend that the Oprah interview and the Netflix docuseries did not happen.

And even if they didn’t, we might still have the Omid Scobie book that names King Charles as one of two senior royal racists.

Omid Scobie, if you can recall, was in private correspondence with the Duchess of Sussex when he wrote his first royal memoir on the couple.

Now that King Charles and Queen Camilla has met with Prince Harry and family, sources are telling us that Meghan felt like she didn’t receive a particularly warm welcome. A round of applause for the former actress, will you?

Meghan Markle Didn’t Get To Feel “Fuzzy” During Her Reunion With King Charles

As a step towards mending the half a decade-long rift, Meghan Markle and the young kids joined Prince Harry in the UK this July to meet King Charles.

Following the meeting, we were told the kids, who were originally said to be excited to be meeting their grandfather for the first time in years, were happy about the visit.

Of course if you flew across the ocean to reunite with your family, an afternoon tea is likely not supposed to cut it.

But that was exactly the type of royal treatment Harry, Meghan and the kids received.

Judging from reports, the visit could not have lasted for over two hours, with the couple traveling to Gloucestershire to meet the King at his Highgrove estate.

Queen Camilla was also in the room during the entire duration of the visit, and while it’s not been officially confirmed, it’s been rumored the duo were searched for wires upon entering the property.

If the above mentioned all happened, we can understand why Meghan didn’t particularly feel like she received the beloved family member treatment. “One gets the sense that, from Meghan’s perspective, the reunion with Charles and Camilla wasn’t entirely warm and fuzzy,” royal author Christopher Andersen told Page Six earlier this week.
