Charlie Kirk’s Wife Erika And Parents Walked Out Of Court

The murder trial for Charlie Kirk is officially underway in Utah.  Tyler Robinson appeared in court for preliminary hearings this week for the Utah Valley University shooting. 

Charlie Kirk was allegedly assassinated by Robinson at a Conservatist rally on September 10, 2025.

Charlie Kirk Trial Begins

Robinson was brought before the judge so that the district attorney can present evidence against him, to determine whether or not the trial will move forward.

There’s no reason to believe that Tyler Robinson won’t be tried for shooting and killing Kirk last year.  But, Robinson still needs to go through the proper judiciary channels before getting a guilty verdict.

On Tuesday July 6, Charlie Kirk’s widow and parents arrived in the Utah court for preliminaries.  However, the activist’s family members were reportedly distraught over eye-witness testimonies of the shooting.

Various outlets are reporting that Erika Kirk and Charlie’s parents stood up and walked out in the middle of court because they were too upset by what they were hearing in testimonies.

Killer Tyler Robinson Heads To Court

Facing Charlie Kirk’s killer in court hasn’t been easy for his wife Erika or her in-laws.  Robinson was reportedly stoic in court and unfazed by Charlie’s family rushing out.

Prior to this court date, the Kirks released an official statement to the press regarding the emotional strain his death has put on them.

The statement read, “Every court proceeding serves as a painful reminder of his death and the loss that has irrevocably impacted our lives and the lives of his children.

We remain deeply grateful for the support, prayers, and kindness we have received. This outpouring has sustained us during the darkest days of our lives.”
