The General Hospital star also had exciting news for her fans; Grahn has built a career in several well-known soap operas.

She played Beverly Wilkes on One Life to Live from 1978 to 1982-after that, she took on the role of Julia Wainwright Capwell on Santa Barbara for almost ten years.

In 1996, Grahn began her role as Alexis Davis on General Hospital, which has become one of her longest-lasting characters-she also made a brief return as Alexis in the Port Charles spin-off

Recently, Grahn was a guest on the Soapy podcast, where she talked with Greg Rikaart and Rebecca Budig.

During the conversation, she revealed that fans can expect to see her continue as Alexis, as she has just signed a new three-year contract with the soap.

Grahan Talked About Life Mirroring Art And Vice Versa

As the discussion progressed, Grahn contemplated how one of her character’s deeply emotional arcs mirrored her own life experiences.

At one moment, she pondered, “I find it intriguing why I have remained single throughout my life.”

Grahn reflected on her journey to motherhood, revisiting her previous relationships.

She mentioned that one former boyfriend was relocating after their split and inquired how he could assist her during the transition.

The actress remembered saying, “You could deposit sperm in the bank,” highlighting her aspiration to become a mother.

Grahn Is Getting Ready To Release A New Book

The ex-partner had donated his sperm at Grahn’s request, but the actress confessed that she ultimately did not use it.

She shared, “I came to the realization that this isn’t going to unfold the way I had envisioned, and it wasn’t due to a lack of effort.”

A few months later, Grahn began dating again and discovered she was pregnant after that relationship ended-in 1998, she welcomed her daughter, Katherine.

When Katherine turned five, her ex, who initially wanted no involvement, later filed for custody.

The actress preferred not to share too many details about the situation on the podcast, but she mentioned that she battled her ex in court for nearly four years.

Grahn Said She’ll Put This In Her Book

She emphasized, “The court situation is a narrative that deserves to be told,” indicating that she would explore it further in her upcoming book.

During this time in her real life, Alexis was experiencing a similar storyline on General Hospital.

She and Sonny Corinthos (played by Maurice Benard) were embroiled in a custody dispute over their daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (most recently portrayed by Kate Mansi).

Grahn noted that the parallels were not lost on her, stating that she had “begged” the head writer to avoid pursuing the storyline as it felt too personal.
