The Young and the Restless (Y&R) for Wednesday, July 1 indicate that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) shows us why he got the nickname Billy Boy.
Yep, he’s a man-child, emphasis on the toddler part.
Let’s dish all the dirt on the Genoa City man who has turned over more leaves than a Home Depot worker.
First off, let’s note that the bigger man, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), tries to help his counterpart out with an ask of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Billy’s latest rant happens after meeting with Cane and Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) at the GCAC.
Billy felt inferior to Cane in Jill’s eyes and demanded that she tell him why he’s so out of favor.
The fact that he even has to ask should be a clue.
Cane Vs. Billy
Cane cares about Billy and suggested on Tuesday that Billy be made a Chancellor employee.
Sure, Jan.
Like how is working for Cane going to help Billy who thinks he is the one who should be in the big boss chair?
Anyway, at least Cane’s heart is in the right place.
Cane pleads with Lily to approve of his idea but she’s hesitant and Billy proves her right.
Billy is Too Stubborn
That’s beuace Billy has a tantrum that results in damaging Spectra-Charles Media.
Billy harms Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) company and if she doesn’t see this as a sign to leave him on the curb, then that’s on her.
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) treads lightly with loony Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Patty Vs. Jack
Jack sets a trap for Patty hoping it will lead to the rescue of Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) who is being held by Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere
Burns) in one of the year’s most absurd plots and that’s saying a lot.
It’s times like these that make Mal Young look like a harmless fool in retrospect.
Fans will see Patty thwart Jack (read the above sentence again).
Patty is a Wily Coyote
Spoilers indicate that hapless Jack and cunning Patty have more twists and turns coming in their game of cat and mouse this week.
Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) remains committed to saving his mom and we hope he doesn’t blow it because we want this charade to end sooner rather than later.
